The book contains four chapters. Chapter 1 will acquaint you with the history of Britain from ancient times up to tie fifth century. You will learn about the peoples who inhabited Britain, how they lived and what they did. Chapter 2 is the history of Britain in early medieval iimes — from the 5th to the 11th century. The chapters that follow continue with the medieval history of Britain. Chapter 3 will tell you the story of the Norman Conquest of Britain in 1066 and how as a result of the Conquest the life of the country changed in the 11th-12th centuries. In Chapter 4 you will read about the medieval English towns, their origin, their privileges, and about the development of crafts and trade in the 13fh-14th centuries.
